FAQs
How long will my project take? +
Each project timeline will vary depending on the project logistics and our current workload. We work on a first-come, first-serve basis as much as possible, so once a deposit is placed, that project becomes next in line.
What do you charge? +
The cost of each project will vary depending on the length. We base our quotes on cost and quality of materials, time, and level of difficulty. We typically let you know if there are different quality levels available and allow you to choose based on your budget.
How does the process work? +
After you receive a quote and agree to the estimate, you will be asked to put down a 40% deposit on your project so we can move forward with purchasing any materials needed. The remainder of your bill will be due at project completion. Please keep in mind that each quote is an estimate of what we believe it will cost, and if those costs change throughout the duration of your project will be let you know.
Do you deliver? +
We charge a $25 flat rate for deliveries within 25 miles with any additional distance being $.60 per mile. You are also welcome to pick up your piece to waive any delivery fee.

HOW LONG WILL A SESSION TAKE? +
A typical session is an hour long, give or take. If we’re in the middle of something fun, I’m comfortable sticking around a bit longer to ensure we get all the right shots!
OUR FAMILY IS ORDINARY, WHAT WILL YOU EVEN PHOTOGRAPH? +
Ordinary moments are what I’m all about! But to help ensure we get the right photos, I’ll send you a client guide before our session to help prepare you. This will include some tips on how to keep all of your people happy as well as some activity ideas to have on the back-burner just in case.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? +
These photos are meant to be a snapshot of your actual, everyday life. Wear what you feel the most comfortable in! If we’re photographing your family on a lazy Saturday morning, wear your normal Saturday clothes.
HOW SHOULD I PAY? +
Payment is due by the end of each session and can be made via cash, check or Venmo!

FAQs
What if I’m not exactly sure what I want? +
Included in each project is one hour of free consulting to talk through your project and determine your quote. Additional time spent discussing your space will be billed to an hourly rate of $35/hour and will be added to your final bill.
What about additional services (i.e. plumbing, electric, and carpeting)? +
Kinfolk does not currently offer additional services outside of carpentry, but if you are interested in having other work done, let us know and we can try and connect you to someone.
